Samurai Swords In a Dream

The dream between Kinata and Sasuke in Part 1 is the most mystifying and frustrating thing for people. I actually get lectured about the cliff hanger.
Sorry.
There's a reason for it.
However, I knew that finding the right pictures for the swords that the man Madaro carries would be signficant in the sense of recognizing how noble these people were.
Here’s the best I could conjure up for the swords that are so important in the linking dreams between Sasuke and Kinata. It’s a major mystery that gets answered later on and I refuse to put spoilers in yet.
The greatest difference between the blades is that the tiger sword is blander than the dragon sword.
It is for a reason.

(SO MANY UNEXPLAINED REASONS...I SUCK!!! but they will be explained...promise)

The descriptions in the story are mainly based off of these pictures I found over Google after hours of searching for the right kind of sword. It may not be exactly what I had in mind when I’d written the story on paper, but it’s the best I could find, seeing as how I’m no artist.

I got lucky with my drawing of Ryukotse, but I wasn’t about to push it by trying to draw samurai swords of extreme elegance.

The dragon sword.

Again, closer look of the dragon sword. It is longer than the tiger sword.

The tiger sword. It's not a great picture of the blade itself but that's because it's just a silver blade.
The handle and tip of the sheath is what's most important.

Kinata's Sai Knives

So there's some big hype about her choice of weapons.
She was trained in the basics of the samurai sword (Yamamoto-sensei was originally a samurai and was later trained in the arts of ninjutsu) and of the ninja ways.
However, she was tasked with choosing her own style of fighting.
Now many would argue that Sai Knives are a weapon for the offensive technique (which honestly it is) Kinata chooses the defensive route with the Sai Knives (which one can figure out using these weapons, espeically in the blunt formation of them).
I researched these weapons from the centuries and little is actually known about their origins yet much has evolved from legends and such.
I did my best with how Kinata uses them but I won't lie, I was inspired by the movie Elektra, directed by Rob Bowman and the star Jennifer Garner.

These are Kinata’s Sai Knives when she is younger.
They are simple, with pure silver for the daggers and black leather for the handle. Yamamoto-sensei handed them down to her right before she was taken in by the Higurashi Family. Though the story skips over this, she was instructed to practice with them only after she’d mastered the kunai knives.

She loses them when she is kidnapped, before Part 2 begins.

These are Kinata’s Sai Knives when she is older and they are far more intimidating.
They are a gift from Lord A. Killer Bee had suggested on adding the effects of the black dragon head to indicate her ownership of her bloodline.
These are made out of black titanium and have strong, special binding rope around the handle. The tips are later sharpened by Kinata, an unusual technique used for Sai Knives, which are typically more rounded and blunt. This signifies her transitioning into a far more offensive warrior versus just a defensive one.

MY Konoha Map

There’s so much controversy about the locations in Konoha because there doesn’t seem to be a legitimate map that anyone can agree on since Masashi Kishimoto didn’t specifically designate it. I figure it’s due to the constant changes throughout the series of the structures (like any city that goes even a decade through construction).
Anyway, to make the places in my story more understandable, I decided to conduct my own “improvised” map of the Konoha existing when Naruto, Sasuke, and Kinata are in the Ninja Academy, near graduation of becoming genin. I apologize if it doesn’t match up to your imagination of how you seen Konoha, and yes I realize I had to use the vague scene of Pain about to obliterate the Leaf Village, but it was the best that I could do to utilize a better visual for my OC story. Hope it works. I did my best.

*Again, I DO NOT own this map, nor is it an accurate reading of Kishimoto’s map of Konoha. It is only MY personal opinion of the village.

*FYI The secret spot that Sasuke always takes Kinata to is not labeled but it’s only because it’s out of range since that spot overlooks the tree-line borders of Konoha. In a general direction though it’d be SW, going out.

Kimono For Star Festival

So this post is referring to the epic night that really transformed the relationship between Sasuke and Kinata.
First I need to explain why the chapter became so...mature.
It has to do with my personal background, so please excuse me about the change of subject.
I felt really awkward writing about how intimate it got but as skanky and very personal as it sounds, I did have my virginity taken at age 12 with a boy who was my age and who was my first crush.
It was such an experimental and odd thing for us to have done, and he was so nervous (so was I) that we almost didn't go through with it. It was stupid but we were so "in love" that we didn't care.
Life kind of tore us apart a year later and I still have memories of him. Wish I knew where he was. He really will be that one who will never be replaced.
Now it sounds sappy but it is what it is. I didn't have sex again until I was 17.
ANYWAY,
I guess it's the only justification that I have for Sasuke and Kinata going so far at such a young age.
I was in such a dilemma about the Star Festival chapter and how far I should take it.
In the end, I decided it was what would finalize the bond that would later take it's toll on the two.
On that note though:
I DO NOT CONDONE SEX AT THAT AGE...THAT IS VERY YOUNG.
Please wait until you are at least of consensual age.
Now, back to the point of this post.
This is the kimono given from Sasuke to Kinata for the Star Festival…minus the gaudy necklace.
He wanted to go based off of his clan colors, secretly wanting her to represent the Uchiha. Of course, it had to have some feminine features.
The only odd detail of Sasuke's choice was that it was short and low cut, not really his style for girls.
In the end, it came down to the male thoughts and how he wanted a glimpse of her appeal.

Dragonfly Emblems

From the beginning of the formation of the Ryukotse Clan, the Empress had a secret emblem constructed to represent their power and those that aligned themselves to it. A group known as the Elite Guardians were formed and the Master also inherited a necklace with the special stone of the Ryukotse power. The Iwatsuru and Kusama clans stayed most true and loyal, gaining the next two emblems. All appear similar in fashion, noticeably the dragonfly of a bronze metal, with the turquoise gem in the middle. The original – only given to a bloodline of Ryukotse – is unique in the many engravings, the golden metal, and the enlarged and active stone – a pure connection to the dragon. This goes further back into the ancient world, when jewels were prized by the emblem of a demon clan's powers and status in the demon world.

This one is handed down to those specifically of the Ryukotse Bloodline. Kinata’s inheritance.
This is the very jewel that she hands over to Sasuke before Part 2 begins.
It was rather rash of her but she was never told of the importance of the jewel.
Yamamoto-sensei had only breifly explained that it represented her clan.

This one is passed down to the Main Guardian of the Ryukotse Clan. At the time of the story, it is in the hands of Yamamoto-Sensei.

This emblem belongs to the Iwatsuru Family, passed down from the Ryukotse Clan to recognize their alliance. It is similiar to the one of the Kusama Family with the tail being slightly longer and the wings more lighter bronze and the face of the dragonfly engraved rather than outlined.

This emblem belongs to the Kusama Family, passed down from the Ryukotse Clan to recognize their alliance. Again it is darker but almost identical to the Iwatsuru Family's own. The blue jewel is different as well.

So this is a legacy that was established way before the recent political standards that exist in the present Naruto world (before the Lands split into five major ones and smaller various ones and the Daimyo and Kage platform really became the main establishment).
When these emblems were created, it was the time of the Demon Clan switch to alliances of the royal blood in the human world - of the three Emperors and Empresses of what was considered three different Provinces.
For now it sounds confusing, but this will be clarified in another post.
Promise.

What does Kinata look Like?

Alright, let me be honest. I cannot draw unless you want to wait about a year for a picture.
None of these pictures belong to me. I had difficulties trying to pinpoint or contact the owners.
So, DISCLAIMER: Not mine, but to some incredible artists. I know a few are found on Deviantart.net and the others on google.com/images (and it is hard to find the direct spot of ownership).
However, thank you sincerely for whoever did these. This has been the visual for the main character, my OC Kinata Ryukotse.
Any other OC characters are also pictures I have found over the internet. I have successfully avoided (from my knowledge) characters in legitimate shows, animes, video games, etc. I've gone for originality in drawings as best as possible.
I'm super grateful people can draw...you've made my life easier and more expressive.
Thank you again. This is what sharing talent is all about!

Part 1: Kinata appears pretty mature even at the age of 12. Here she looks 15, but as described in the story, the background that she’s had to endure has only added to her prime-like features. I wanted her to have long hair because the original Naruto series does state that Sasuke randomly prefers girls with longer hair (whether rumor or not I felt it would work to my benefit). If he had fallen for Kinata there would be reason for that rumor afterwards.

Part 2: This is Kinata at age 16. She has emotionally matured as seen in her eyes. Her slight difference in hairstyle and clothes is due to living in the Land of Lightening and the influence of Lord A and Killer Bee. She keeps to herself because of the agreement unless Killer Bee is available to train. The two are pretty close but she’s learned to keep distance now between people. Her encounter with Ryukotse has changed her mentality drastically.

Part 2: This is Kinata at age 17 when she begins to wander on her own to research her bloodline. Her demeanor is more harsh and guarded. She trusts no one and is quick to leave a place if something seems off. At this point she now has the sensory skills from Ryukotse’s barrier. She has trouble determining exact locations yet but her idea on the chakra of an individual is rapidly improving. It helps her to avoid certain people. The only exceptions to this is when she’s injured, intoxicated, or using another one of her jutsus. She is not even closely advanced to use two jutsu moves as one. Kinata has a ways to go.
Part 2: Epilogue

Finally here is Kinata as an adult.
(SERIOURSLY, Sorry if she has the familiar characteristics of the Bella girl from twilight, as this was the depicted title for the pic, not what I was aiming for but in the end, with a dramatic sigh, it was the only image that felt fitting Lplease try to release the whole Bella thing from your mind though for the sake of my story and think of Kinata of Naruto's world).

She is more open-minded now that she has more control over her powers and Ryukotse.

She still has emotional issues from the scenes of her past and the fear of history repeating itself again, but as she continues her venture to understanding her clan, she discovers redemption and hope.
Well that's all of the pictures for the majority of her drastic changes in appearences as she grows older alongside the Naruto characters. She follows her own path but manages to collide with the others throughout the story on many occassions.
I guess this will give readers a better idea of how she looks to everyone, especially to Sasuke who cannot get her out of his head (poor guy).

What Is This Site???

Hello! And Welcome to my new blog: Ryukotse Clan.
I'm a newbie, but not an idiot.
Just bare with me...please.

If you are here, you were most likely directed from a specific site of a story, if not, I guess here's a synopsis.

My story is on Fanfiction.net and I am the author known as Ryu-Kay. I've been working seven years on Part 1 (on and off) through paper, while proof-reading and story-plotting to Part 2. This is about the NARUTO story from the first one to Shippuden. And yes, it is an OC with Sasuke Uchiha, but one that no one has yet to imagine. This is not a "new teammate for Team 7" as 90% of them turn out to be. This is not a "she's mary-sue all over again" that makes people sick.

She is a REAL character of MINE but with her OWN background into the world of Masashi Kishimoto (the brilliant creator of Naruto).

The girl is Kinata Ryukotse. Most readers enjoy skipping the details of an OC background because it gets tedious and boring (even though it is trying to develop a better understanding of a new character). My first six chapters are not of just Kinata but on her background - of a legend – one that later ties into the ending of Shippuden where Part 2 will eventually meet up.

The part of my entire story that I am genuinely proud of is that it DOES NOT interrupt the story line of Naruto, but strategically places my OC through the slips in scenes that aren't fully explained or that she is accounted for in the most amazing ways a reader (or watcher of the anime) wouldn't expect (but that makes sense). The one exception is at the final ending before the climax of Naruto Shippuden and to where it all ends (but even that doesn’t change the major plot, just certain scenes and the outcome of Sasuke after his final fight with Naruto).

I am not a fantasy writer (despite the contradiction of writing for a fantasy world). I love the morals and themes that Kishimoto has enlightened in this incredible world. This character (and a few other OC characters I have created) slightly reflects not just relations in my life but in a combination of a few select others in our Earthly world that I have had the greatest chance of encountering. It is why I have such dedication to the depth of this character and the other OC’s, and describing her as real as possible for the Naruto world.

Why Sasuke Uchiha? Her ties of the Ryukotse clan have a lot to do with it (consider it the irony of fate, which is later seen with the reincarnation of Indra Otsutsuki and Asura Otsutsuki through Naruto and Sasuke - oh destiny). However, the rest is up to the connection of mental, emotional, and physical levels the two meet on. Chemistry is naturally and realistically created and for those who have actually found that in real life, you'll understand how strong that bond can be.

No, I was ironically not a fan of Sasuke when the T.V. show first came out (I thought he was overly cocky and too introverted). Later on, as I decided on randomly creating my own story for the Naruto world I wanted her to connect single-handedly with one of the boys, and found that Sasuke's mental state became a parallel that fit extremely well with her own. They were compatible and as I took my time writing everything out it became apparent that as the Shippuden story developed from Kishimoto it was going to work out even better for the two in my own story, so I stuck with the OC/Sasuke romance (despite my hesitancy).

Part 1 may seem to have the most cheesiest moments because the two are young, Naruto is involved (and she does befriend him, as I never cared for that in OC/Sasuke stories but it was too significant later on in the story not to have this as appropriate), and the two have strong feelings in a short amount of time. This is before they have a chance to graduate, and a major situation happens that creates the end of Part 1 and the conflict of change in the mindset, in age, and in goals. It is drastic but conceptual and deep. PLEASE do not let this deter you away from continuing on in the reading. Part 2 is drastically different and that was the point – to open the eyes of so many of the characters on how quickly life can turn.

I've done my best to maintain maturity and consistency in the entire story. This is NOT a Mary-Sue, and to develop more realism I have decided on a blog to continue answers, visuals, more add-ins or fillers for people to better grasp the details of the story (especially the ancient backgrounds that tie so much into the time-line of the Naruto story, just as it does with the Uchiha clan, the Sage of Six Paths, etc.).

The legendary dragon is the most important fact in my concept of Kishimoto's world. It is entirely my own creation, but fits in with a new design of a past creature world in the later on world of Naruto.

That will also be explained in the blog, since I didn't want to drag on in my story about it. But yes, it's some major information that gives greater understanding and links to the ending of Shippuden and to Kaguya and why she was considered a demon.

Again though, please keep in mind that A LOT of this is of my OWN additions to Kishimoto's ingenious creations and that the majority of the Naruto world is NOT mine, but just a platform of expanding a world into my own interesting story. I will give it my all to disclaim that as much as possible because I am not one to take credit for something that I did not create, I can only admire and respect it.

Hopefully this blog helps to make my story more vivid to enjoy.

For both Part 1 and Part 2 it is called:

Clandestine Anesthetic.
